Since the last blog we have travelled into Argentina (Puerto Iguazu) but decided to jump straight onto the overnight bus to Buenos Aires - now this is the way to travel! Fully reclining chairs into beds, movies, radio, food and drink served... its about 100x better than flying....and it only cost us something like 40pound each.

Prices are heaps better in Argentina than in Brazil. I think our first meal over the border, with drinks (and there was a lot) came to something like 6.50....felt like we were robbing them!

Buenos Aires is ok...very big and very tiring! Lots of walking but lots of roads, cars, pollution and people. The parks are a nice escape though with loads of activities like footie, roller blading and boats.

Our accomodation is not nice at all. We made the mistake of booking 8 nights in advance (on the internet) and when we turned up and asked to change they wouldnt budge. We should have just left...but decided to stick it out....not the best idea! The room is very dark (like a cell) with an odd bathroom that has seen better days - the shower is open so effectively "washes" the bathroom (and toilet) whilst you wash....not nice. But...the family is nice and the area is really safe...one of the nicest areas in BA. Live and learn!

Been to Recoletta cemetary today and saw the gravestone of Eva "Evita" Peron, then went on the museum tour. Was really interesting.

Leaving BA earlier than planned as we have had enough of city life....going to San Antonio de Areco "Rancho Town"

Cant wait!
